Many die-hard Firefox fans are annoyed. On Firefox 4, they had to wait forever, then shortly afterwards, version 5 and 6 were released. This year, there will be even Firefox 7 and 8. Are this many versions necessary? Definitely. Mozilla has released specific features that you will want to be included into your browser as quickly as possible. Five Firefox generations in one year - until recently, unthinkable. With the new system version, however, a new Firefox will be released every six weeks, - Users must update their browser permanently. But the new system has a distinct advantage: The Mozilla developers  don't have wait with new features until the next mega-update, but are able to realize their ideas quickly. And there are already plenty.


Firefox 7 : memory usage improved
The latest version of Firefox promises to reduce the RAM usage by up to 50%. Users with several tabs opened at the same time should therefore experience a better responsiveness of the whole browser and more overall stability. Check out Firefox 7!

Firefox 8: Against slow add-ons
If Firefox is too slow, not necessarily the browser is to blame. Many or wasteful add-ons  consume a lot of resources. Firefox 8 is to put a stop to that, by displaying their resource consumption. In the add-on manager, a percentage shows the user, how much the particular add-on affects the startup time of the browser. Like with the Internet Explorer  9, you just sort out the ones, that slow down the performance.

Firefox 9: Reset your browser
Whether messed up settings or invalid config values: In the worst case, it damages your Firefox profile. Even if you reinstall the browser, some corrupted files still remain in your profile. Therefore, Mozilla is working on a reset command for Firefox 9, which restores the browser to its factory condition.
